Simon Fraser University turned 50 on August 2015 and below is how we celebrated the 50 years by sharing our 50 Incredible Moments in SFU History.

Over the last half century, athletes competing for Simon Fraser have won over 300 national championships and there have been over 750 All-Americans, 95 Olympians - including 11 Olympic medalists - and over 200 athletes drafted into the Canadian Football League.

Some of the most iconic moments in Canadian sport, such as Canada's first Olympic gold medal in wrestling won by Daniel Igali, have involved athletes from Simon Fraser.

We have featured rare videos and photos as well as interviews with the athletes who made the headlines as we relive events such as the first Shrum Bowl, and look back at some of Canada's most amazing athletes during their time on Burnaby Mountain.

The 50 Incredible Moments project is a celebration of our most iconic moments. Our original list contained well over 100 moments so our challenge was to decide which of these moments to showcase. We hope you enjoy the ones we chose.
