Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe (Toronto, ON) has been named a Daktronics second team All-American.
This award comes on the heels of the Clan's run to the 'Sweet 16' in the NCAA National Tournament, where the 6'2 forward was also named a tournament first-team all-star.
The Great Northwest Athletic Conference Player of the Year led NCAA Division II in field-goal percentage this past season and her team to a national ranking, reaching as high as sixth.
Raincock-Ekunwe averaged 16.8 points per game and 12.4 rebounds per game in the 2012-13 season, and had a shooting percentage of 0.653.
This award comes at the conclusion of an impressive career for Raincock-Ekunwe with the Clan that began with a CIS National Championship title in her freshman year.
Despite only playing three seasons in the GNAC, the senior graduates holding 12 conference records.
Raincock-Ekunwe shattered the previous GNAC career double-doubles record of 48 with 63 in her three year GNAC career.
The senior ended her collegiate-career along with teammates
Kristina Collins (Port Coquitlam, BC) and
Carla Wyman (North Vancouver, BC) with the program's first NCAA post-season appearance that ended on
Tuesday at the 'Sweet 16'.
