Burnaby, BC - In the fall of 2014, the Simon Fraser University Clan football program will return to Swangard Stadium as SFU will call the historic stadium home once again for the 2014 season.
SFU will play six home games at Swangard this fall between September and November.

"It's another example of how we at Simon Fraser University are serious about engaging our community. We hope we can spend the next several years at Swangard while the Build SFU project is completed."
Two games will be hosted in September, one in October and three in November.
Located in the northwest corner of Burnaby's Central Park, the stadium is easily accessible at the corner of Kingsway and Boundary Road and is also easily accessible via SkyTrain.
The 2014 season will mark the Clan's third season as full members of the NCAA, one that sees a new head coach at the helm as SFU alumnus
Jacques Chapdelaine, who has won a Vanier Cup and three Grey Cups as a coach, will try to add an NCAA title to his resume.
"Swangard Stadium certainly has a rich history of hosting SFU Athletic events," said Chapdelaine. "We're a part of, not only the SFU community but the lower mainland and I think playing at Swangard will give us an opportunity to engage more with the community. I have fond memories of my playing days at Swangard and I know the atmosphere that can be created at an event there. We plan to re-create that atmosphere this fall."
This year's schedule will see two new opponents visit Burnaby as the Clan will host the Menlo Oaks in non-conference action in the 2014 home opener on September 6 while the South Dakota School of Mines Hardrockers, new to the Great Northwest Athletic Conference, will also visit Swangard.
All home games will be played at 1:00 p.m. except for the home opener against Menlo, which will kick off at 12:00 p.m.
The schedule features another new match-up as the Clan will travel to Idaho to face off against a Division I foe when SFU takes on the Idaho State Bengals in the 12,000 seat Holt Arena on October 11.
Swangard Stadium has a capacity of 4,200 spectators and in addition to many years of hosting Clan football, it has also hosted Clan soccer, the Vancouver Whitecaps and many regional, provincial, national and international soccer, rugby and track and field events.
