PORTLAND, Ore – Simon Fraser University sophomore
Christine Howlett has been selected to the 2015 Great Northwest Athletic Conference Volleyball All-Academic Team.
A total of 47 GNAC volleyball players have been honored for excellence on the court and in the classroom with selection to the 2015 GNAC Volleyball All-Academic Team.
Howlett, an outside hitter from Delta, BC, leads the squad with a 4.00 cumulative grade point average as a business major. A 4.00 is considered an A and 4.33 is an A-plus. She has competed in 24 matches this year for the Clan and has accumulated 198 kills. She has a 2.20 kill/set ratio.
To qualify for the GNAC All-Academic team, student-athletes must have a minimum GPA of 3.20, be in their second year of competition at their current institution, and must be a projected letter winner.
The Clan wraps up their 2015 season this weekend, with games at Saint Martin's tonight and at Seattle Pacific on Saturday.
