Biography

Unger has performed at an elite level and captained both her school and club teams. She was a BC high school First Team All-Star at the 2019 BC Provincial Championships and a gold medalist at the 2018 BC Summer Games. With numerous all-star recognition awards to her credit, Unger has also been a member of U18 Team BC for the past two seasons. 
 
Schmidt: "Having played multiple positions during her career, Macyn comes to us as one of the most skilled and versatile players in the province," said Schmidt. "We believe her game is well suited for the NCAA style of play and her all-around skill set will enable her to contribute in a variety of ways for our team. Macyn is also a great student and teammate, which makes her a perfect fit for our program."
 
"I chose SFU for the outstanding academics, beautiful campus and the opportunity to play for a great NCAA volleyball program," said Unger. "I am excited to be coached by Gina as her personal accomplishments are outstanding and her dedication to me over the years has made me feel confident in my decision.”
