Marc Mongeon was the first Simon Fraser University wrestler to win an NAIA national championship, capturing his first of two titles at 167-pounds in 1977. He was named Sport BC University Athlete of the Year.  
 
The following season, as a senior, Marc went undefeated, compiling a 38-0-1 record. The native of Kitchener, ON, finished his four-year wrestling career at Simon Fraser with a 100-13-3 record.  
 
Following his collegiate career, Marc won a bronze medal in the 74-kilogram weight class at the 1979 Pan American Games, and competed in the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles where he placed 7th.   

Marc
 is a member of the NAIA Hall of Fame.
