Men's wrestling vs Embry Riddle

Clan take down the Eagles in dual meet action

Burnaby, BC – The Simon Fraser University men's wrestling team was back in action on Thursday and scored a 29-12 victory in dual meet action over the Embry Riddle Eagles of Arizona.

Of the seven matches contested, the Clan took five to Embry Riddle's two while three matches were forfeited, two in favour of the Clan and one in favour of the Eagles.

Brock Lamb got three points for SFU in the 165 pound match up when he defeated Luke Riley by decision, 9-5.

At 197, Manvir Sahota added four points for SFU as he won by major decision, 18-7 over Troy Kiillgore.

Sunny Dhinsa followed that up with a major decision of his own, adding four more points for SFU with his 12-2 win over the Eagles' Elliott Taylor, giving the Clan a 17-3 lead in the dual meet at that point.

Sukhan Chahal at 133 and Alex Stemer at 149 wrapped up the victory for SFU, contributing three points apiece as each wrestler won by decision over their Embry Riddle opponents.
