Seattle, WA - The Simon Fraser University track and field teams spent the weekend in Seattle competing at the University of Washington Open and the UW Husky Classic.

Vladislav Moldavanov (Pitt Meadows, BC) was one of 11 Clan athletes to set personal bests in various events this past weekend.

Moldavanov finished third overall in the triple jump, leaping 47-7.75 for the third longest mark in GNAC history and had the best jump among Division II athletes in the competition.

His finish puts him with the 18th best result in NCAA Division II so far this season and earns him a provisional qualification for the NCAA Championship.

He also finished second in the men's long jump competition.

For his efforts, the freshman earned Red Lion Athlete of the Week honours in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference for the first time in his collegiate career.
