HALL OF FAME
The Simon Fraser University Athletic Hall of Fame recognizes and honours the individuals who have made outstanding contributions to SFU Athletics and have helped to bring excellence to the University and its intercollegiate athletic program. The Hall of Fame was established in 1986 to honour student-athletes, coaches, builders and teams. The inaugural Induction Class was comprised of 12 charter members. In 2013, the Terry Fox Humanitarian Inductee category was established in tribute to Canadian hero Terry Fox, who was a Simon Fraser University student and member of the junior varsity basketball team prior to losing his right leg to bone cancer in 1977 at the age of 18. This category is reserved to honour the benevolence of Canadians and their humanitarian contributions to improve our community.
