Dhinsa and Davis to start NCAA Championship quest on Friday

Birmingham, AL - Sunny Dhinsa (Abbotsford, BC) and Skylor Davis (Zilah, WA) will compete for the Simon Fraser University men's wrestling team at the NCAA Division II National Championship, beginning Friday.

Dhinsa will be looking for a championship at 285-pounds while Davis will wrestle in the 125-pound bracket.

The first two rounds of the meet will be contested on Friday with session three going Saturday and the finals on Sunday.

Davis, who is 20-4 this year, will begin his quest for a title against Alex Johns of Indianapolis who is 26-3 on Friday while Dhinsa, who is 19-1, will grapple with Wisconsin Parkside's James Malechek who enters the match with a record of 24-6 this year.

Johns is ranked second in NCAA Division II in his weight class while Malechek is ranked fourth.

Session one begins at 8:00 a.m. PST on Friday.
