Nayo's jersey en route to women's basketball Hall of Fame

For the next 12 months, Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe's jersey from the 2012-13 season will have a new home, at the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in Knoxville, TN.

It will be hung as part of the hall's "Ring of Honour," in recognition of Raincock-Ekunwe's outstanding play during the 2012-13 season.

The "Ring of Honour" includes jerseys from women's basketabll players from around the United States, and now Canada, with the jerseys of approximately 100 high school and university All-Americans.

As a senior, Raincock-Ekunwe led the Clan to the 'Sweet 16' of the NCAA Tournament.

She averaged 16.8 points per game and 12.4 rebounds per game in the 2012-13 season, and had a shooting percentage of 0.653, the highest in NCAA Division II.

The Women's Basketball Hall of Fame opened in June 1999 in Knoxville, Tennessee. It is the only facility of its kind dedicated to all levels of women's basketball. With the 2013 Induction, the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame will celebrate its 15th Anniversary and add six new members to the Hall, honouring 133 inductees.
