Personal History
Jaya was born and raised in Coquitlam, BC where she is the youngest of three sisters. She graduated with Honours from Charles Best Secondary School where she played for her school basketball team from grade 9 to 12. In her senior year of high school she was awarded female athlete of the year because of her success on the basketball court. She began playing golf competitively at the age of 14 and was recruited to play for SFU by Coach John Buchanan at Vancouver Golf Club.
