PORTLAND, OR – The honours keep pouring in for Simon Fraser University middle blocker Madeline Hait.

The senior from Burnaby, B.C., who helped lead the Clan to its first winning season in the NCAA Division II, has been voted to the Great Northwest Athletic Conference All-Conference First Team, it was announced today.

Last week, Hait was one of three Clan volleyball players selected to the 2014 GNAC Academic All-Conference team.

Hait finished sixth in the GNAC in hitting percentage (.291) and second in blocks (1.17). She also had 162 kills this season. She also carries a 3.60 Grade Point Average in Business and is interested in pursuing a career in law following her time at SFU.

The Clan ended its 2014 campaign with a 17-9 overall record and the program's first winning record and best season since 2010. The team finished fifth in the GNAC standings with an 11-7 conference record, two places ahead of 2013's seventh place finish.
