Simon Fraser University is 50, and to celebrate, we're counting down 50 Incredible Moments in Clan History. This week we celebrate the 2003 football team.

The 2003 football season was unlike any other at SFU. In head coach Chris Beaton's 21st season, the Clan won the school's first-ever playoff game, 53-46 over Regina. That season quarterback JR Davies set or tied five school records, walk-on linebacker Neil McKinlay was Defensive Player of the Year and receiver Brendan Mahoney caught 69 passes as the Clan thrust themselves into the national spotlight.
