Beardsall is a strong athlete with passion, work ethic and determination. She will also bring a lot of speed to the lineup. "As a catcher I love to always be learning about the game and trying to understand all the different aspects of softball from pitching, fielding, hitting and the mental side," said Beardsall, who won a silver medal at the 2019 Canadian Championships. Beardsall started her athletic journey as a provincial gymnast before committing to softball. She plans to major in Biology with potential career paths as a veterinarian or marine biologist.
 
Why SFU? "I want to be able to represent my country while still getting the amazing experience to play in the NCAA and obtaining a reputable education," said Beardsall. "Softball is what originally caught my interest in SFU but after researching all the other aspects of the university, I realized it was the perfect fit for me! SFU has a beautiful campus and location, and I can't imagine spending the next four years of my life anywhere else."
