Biography

Balcaen is a powerful, left-handed hitter who could have an immediate impact in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference. Balcaen led Manitoba to a gold medal at the 2019 Western Canada Summer Games. As a 12-year-old she was named Manitoba's 2015 Top Female Player of the Year U12 after hitting .690 with 13 home runs and 54 runs batted in (RBI). Balcaen is an honour roll student at St. Mary's Academy in Winnipeg and she plans to study Health Sciences at SFU.
