Simon Fraser University is 50, and to celebrate, we're counting downÂ
50 Incredible MomentsÂ
in Clan History. This week we look at the year Mike Jackel lead the NAIA in scoring.
In 1981-82, Mike Jackel enjoyed a season for the ages, averaging 28.9 points per game to lead the NAIA in scoring at a time when there was no three-point line. Twice that season, Jackel scored 47 points in a game to set the Clan record. He was named NAIA All-American Second Team, the first Clan men's basketball player to earn this honour. CLICK HERE TO SEE COUNTDOWN OF 50 MOST INCREDIBLE CLAN MOMENTSEach week we will release five Incredible Moments, culminating with the final five on November 13.
