Biography

Prior to SFU
Jones played with the Coquitlam Metro-Ford Wolves of the Vancouver Metro Soccer league. In 2013, he spent time overseas, training in England with Welling United. Jones has won a provincial championship and owns a bronze medal from nationals from 2012 when he played with Coquitlam Metro-Ford Ajax. With his club, Jones was part of the Super Y League North American Championship team and 2010 and finished as a finalist in 2011. He was also named to the all-tournament team both years and served as captain.

2015-16
Led SFU in total goals with eight and points with 22 this season and was named Second Team All-Region selection by the NCAA Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA). Jones was the only freshman among the 26 players selected to the first or second teams and one of just three underclassmen to earn all-region honors. Jones was also named GNAC Freshman of the Year and First Team All-Conference.  A starter in all 17 of the Clan's matches, Jones led the Clan with eight goals, including three game-winners, and six assists. He led the GNAC with 73 shots, finished tied for third in goals and was ranked fourth with 22 points. He finished ranked ninth in Division II with 4.29 shots per game.
