The president's vision must be broad and extend into the future to ensure the SAAC's relevance and viability. By establishing a vision for the SAAC each year, the president is expected to set a tone for that year's elected committee and motivate all members of the leadership team to get involved and to be leaders both within the athletics community but also more generally on campus.

As the President of SAAC, there are 3 main objectives.

                                                    1. Coordinating and overseeing the work of the Leadership Team
                                                    2. Conducting SAAC meetings
                                                    3. Reaching out to external committees and organizations for collaboration

The President's main purpose is to facilitate any goals, events, or partnerships that the leadership team members and student-athletes of SFU have, gather the resources necessary, and create sub-committees to achieve these goals. By overseeing the work of the leadership team, the President can step in to give advice, obtain additional resources, or help with the planning/execution of the project.
