Schmidt: "We are happy to be welcoming Kohl back to her home province. Kohl brings a strong physical presence to the net and will help bolster the strong core of middle blockers we have in our program. Kohl is already familiar with several of our current players through previous Team BC experiences. This should allow Kohl to make a smooth transition into our program this fall."

Kohl Peters brings a year of collegiate experience to SFU along with her numerous achievements from her time in the B.C. volleyball circuit. During her time with FVVC, she won two Provincial Championships in 2016 and 2017, and most recently took home the silver medal in 2018 and 2019. She was also a member of Team B.C., and took home gold at the Canada Cup in 2018. In her grade twelve year as a part of the high school team at Pacific Academy along side teammate Davida Hill, she was a BC AA Provincial Champion and was named a First Team Provincial All-Star. In the fall, Kohl plans to continue her studies in Criminology at SFU. 

Why SFU? "The incredible reputation of the coaching staff and girls on the SFU team were a huge draw for me. On top of that, being able to receive a great education from a school like SFU and study the program I wanted made a huge influence on my choice. I am so excited to get to be a part of the SFU community!"
