Freshman eligibility is determined by the NCAA Eligibility Center. A new student-athlete must submit their grade 9-12 official transcripts to the NCAA. The Eligibility Center will provide you with one of two academic certifications depending on your completion of the required core courses and your core course GPA.

If you have met all requirements, then you will be certified as a Qualifier. With this status you may practice, compete, and receive athletic scholarship during your first year of enrollment at an NCAA Division ll institution.

If you have partially met the requirements, then you will be certified as a Partial Qualifier. With this status, you may practice and receive athletic scholarship during your first year of enrollment at an NCAA Division ll institution, however, you may NOT compete.
