Simon Fraser University is 50, and to celebrate, we're counting down 50 Incredible Moments in Clan History. Incredible Clan Moment No. 9 celebrates the three national championships won by the women's cross country/track & field program during the 1997-98 season.

During the 1997-98 season, the women's cross country/track and field team pulled off a historic achievement when it won the 'triple crown'. The Clan, led by Heather deGeest, Cari Rampersad and Carolyn Murray, captured NAIA national titles in cross country, and indoor and outdoor track and field in the same season. It is the only time in NAIA history it has been done.
