Lindsey Butterworth was named NCAA Academic Advisor in March 2019, after working as a recruiting coordinator for SFU. Lindsey represented Canada at the Tokyo Olympics in the 800 metres and she continues to compete as a Canadian high-performance middle distance runner.

Lindsey was named SFU Female Athlete of the Year and Senior All-Around Athlete of the Year, capping a brilliant collegiate career in which she won the 800-metre title in the 2015 NCAA Outdoor Track Championships and anchored SFU's second-place distance medley relay team that set a conference record. Lindsey was selected to represent Canada at the 2015 Summer Universiade (World Student Games) and named Great Northwest Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Female Athlete of the Year. She was also a nominee for the NCAA Woman of Distinction Award.
