Box Score Nampa, ID – The Simon Fraser University women's soccer team started their road trip with a 1-0 loss to the Northwest Nazarene Crusaders on Thursday afternoon.

Amanda Gilliland (Delta, BC) made seven saves in the match but an NNU goal in the 62nd minute was enough to secure the win for the Crusaders.

The NNU goal came off a shot from 15 yards out from Sarah Blum with Autumn Yturbe getting the assist.  It was Blum's first goal of the season.

Brianna Morrison (Pitt Meadows, BC) had two shots on net, late in the game as the Clan tried to tie things up but it was not to be as NNU held on for the win.

With the loss, the Clan's record falls to 1-13 on the season, 0-11 in Great Northwest Athletic Conference play.

The Clan will now travel to Billings, MT to take on the Montana State University-Billings Yellowjackets on Saturday.  Game time is 3:30 p.m.
