Honolulu, HI - The Simon Fraser University softball team wrapped up their six game trip through Hawaii with a split against the Hawaii Pacific Sea Warriors.
SFU took the first game 2-1 thanks to a seventh inning comeback before losing 7-6 in extra innings in game two.
The split means that the Clan went 4-2 against their Hawaiian opponents.
"Hawaii Pacific is one of the better teams we've face this season and we showed we can play with anyone," said Head Coach
Mike Renney. "We made some mistakes that cost us but we have a lot of investing in our youth left to do. To leave Hawaii with a winning record on the trip is a huge positive."
Cara Lukawesky (Coquitlam, BC) went the distance for the Clan in game one, allowing one run on five hits over seven innings pitched.
HPU scored the first run of the game in the bottom of the fourth inning and led until the seventh when the Clan rallied for their two runs.

After HPU jumped out to a 2-0 lead with single runs in the first and second inning, the Clan offence exploded for six runs in the top of the third to lead 6-2.
The home side responded with two in the bottom of the third and added another in the fifth as the Clan held a slim 6-5 lead heading into the bottom of the seventh inning.
HPU tied it in the seventh and then in the eighth inning, scored the game winner after their lead off batter walked and came around to score.
