Box Score Nampa, ID - The Simon Fraser University women's soccer team wrapped up their road trip through Montana and Idaho with a 0-0 draw against the Northwest Nazarene Crusaders on Saturday afternoon.
Making her second consecutive start in goal due to injuries,
Teagan Rae Sorokan (North Vancouver, BC) earned her first career shutout, making five saves through the double overtime match.
"Teagan played really well today," said Head Coach
Shelley Howieson. "So many of our players battled their hearts out in this game. The second leg of this road trip is tough so full credit to our team for coming away with a tie. The back line really held strong and played through some injuries. We're pleased with the effort. Now we need to get home after a long road trip and get prepared for Thursday evening."
Jessica Hadden (Cloverdale, BC) had the Clan's best scoring opportunity of the game in the 62nd minute but her shot was saved by the Northwest Nazarene goalkeeper.
With the tie, the Clan move to 0-1-1 in Great Northwest Athletic Conference play and 0-3-1 overall.
SFU returns home for their home opener on Thursday when they host the Saint Martin's Saints at Terry Fox Field at 5:00 p.m.
