BURNABY, B.C. -- Interim head coach
Mike Rigell announced today that Simon Fraser football is adding
Dan Dorazio into the fold as the team's offensive line coach and co-offensive coordinator.
Dorazio has a wealth of experience dating back to his time at Kent State University in 1972 and has built a reputation as an offensive line "guru." Simon Fraser football and BC Lions Alumnus Angus Reid credits much of his development to Dorazio in his book "Thank you Coach: Learning How to Live by Being Taught How to Play."
Dorazio has coached at many levels including stops at NCAA Div. 1 programs University of Hawaii (1975-77), University of Washington (1979-1984-88), Georgia Tech (1982-83) and the University of Maryland (1992-96). Dorazio also has deep roots in the CFL coaching with Calgary (1998-02), BC (2003-14, 2016-18), Saskatchewan (2015) and most recently the Toronto Argonauts in 2019. Dorazio has won a total of four Grey Cups during his coaching tenure.

As the football staff comes together, Rigell is ecstatic to add another veteran coach to his crew.
"Getting coach Dorazio is priceless. There are so many things I'm going to learn from his mentorship, knowledge and valuable life and coaching experiences. To get the opportunity to work with coach Dorazio is an honour for me. We are blessed to have signed Dan and Jerome."
