The Pacific Football Club of the Canadian Premiere League announced today that they have signed SFU standout Matteo Polisi for the 2021 season. Polisi, along with his brother Marcello, is one of the most decorated players in the history of the school racking up numerous achievements during his tenure on Burnaby Mountain. The Coquitlam product finishes his SFU career with 36 goals and 18 assists for 90 points in 52 games. He is tied for 12th all-time in scoring and 11th in goals in SFU history.
During his three seasons, Polisi was a three-time All-GNAC First Team selection, received D2CCA All-West Region honours three times and was also named DII West Region Player of the Year during his 2018 season. Polisi was a two-time NCAA Division II All-American.
Head coach Clint Schneider is looking forward to seeing another SFU player make the leap to the professional levels.
