NAMPA, Idaho – Northwest Nazarene scored 44 seconds into the game and never looked back, handing Simon Fraser a 3-0 setback Thursday evening in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference women's soccer game.
The Red Leafs (1-3-3, 0-2-1 GNAC) conceded the early goal by Alejandra Jaramillo when Ashley Parton broke free down the right side and sent a ball into the box that Jaramillo put into the back of the net.
The GNAC-leading Nighthawks (5-1-1, 3-0-0 GNAC) got another goal by Madison Grande in the 23
rd minute and Sierra Sanchez completed the scoring in the 71
st minute for their fifth straight win.
SFU and NNU had 11 shots each in the game with the Red Leafs firing 10 in the opening half but still trailed 2-0.
Nicole Anderson went the distance in goal for SFU and made one save. Alexis Montoya made three stops for the Nighthawks
