Hamel: "Nicole is a strong goalkeeper who is athletic and vocal on the pitch. She distributes the ball well and is a quick learner. She is strong off crosses, unafraid, and has an important presence in the box. Under Anna Picarelli's guidance, I have no doubt Nicole will reach her full potential here at SFU."
 
Nicole Anderson comes to Simon Fraser as the only goalkeeper in her recruiting class. A native of Eagle, Idaho, Anderson played 1,440 minutes in her senior season at Bishop Kelly High School, making 62 saves and only surrendering 12 goals to earn a 0.67 goals against average. She was also a state soccer champion in 2016 and 2017. "I think SFU is a very good school that can help make me a better student in the sciences and also help me become a better soccer player," Anderson stated. She will be majoring in Kinesiology this Fall with the end goal of becoming a nutritionist in the future.
