A three-time qualifier at the Canadian Western Championships, Kidd is a butterfly swimmer who competes in both the 100 and 200-metre events. In March, she won a silver medal at the Swim Alberta Spring Championships.

Her best time in the 200-metre butterfly is 2:23.60 and in the 100-metre long course, she has a personal best of 1:05.22. Kidd is an honour roll student and is enrolled in the Faculty of Arts at SFU.
