Biography
Joclyn Bhatha – Newmarket, ON / Cape Fear Academy
Height: 5’2”
Abdou: “Joclyn is a good competitor. She had a great 2018 high school campaign but sat out most of last year with injuries. If she can get healthy she can be a force for us at lightweight.”
A member of Team Canada in the 49-kilogram category in 2017, Bhatha won a silver medal in 2018 at both the BC High School Provincial Championships and the National Championships. She is planning to major in criminology and is a transfer student from Douglas College.
Why SFU? “The school has a very well recognized women’s wrestling program and is one of the top-ranked universities in Canada.”
