Biography

Jordan is from the Rocky Mountains living in the small town of Canmore, Alberta. He grew up playing a variety of sports including hockey, basketball and Volleyball. He quit playing competitive hockey in 2016 to focus on golf and allow for more time to train and compete.

Jordan attended Canmore Collegiate High School where he obtained honours status in grades 10, 11 and 12. Jordan explained that he chose Simon Fraser as “it is a prestigious academic institution that would push me intellectually, and provide the opportunity to compete with some of the best players within the NCAA organization”. He achieved Dean's roll status in 2019/2020 and says his goal is to maintain a competitive GPA for law school applications.

Jordan had a well rounded junior golf career earning spots in the 2016, 2017 and 2018 Canadian Junior Championships. He began his college golf career in the 2018/2019 season playing 6 events including appearances at the GNAC and Regional championships. Unfortunately Jordans sophomore year was cut short due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, however he ended the season with a solid showing finishing 9th at the NDNU Argonaut Invitational with scores of 71, 77, 73.

Throughout highschool, Jordan was very involved in the community helping to organize several fundraisers including the “We Scare Hunger” food drive over halloween. Since arriving at Simon Fraser Jordan has participated in a variety of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee's fundraisers and volunteer initiatives. These include volunteering at the Burnaby Special Olympics and Residence move-in day.

“I love being a part of the Simon Fraser Athletics Organization and the SFU golf family. I look forward to competing with them more in the future.”
