Kaura is a phenomenal golfer who has dominated the junior circuit at the national level. He carries a 71.43 scoring average for MJT tournaments and a 73.4 scoring average for all tournaments in the 2020 season. At the Canadian Junior Nationals, Kaura posted the third lowest round of the tournament – 67. He also posted a 65 and 66 in two other junior tournaments. Kaura, who achieved a 97 per cent GPA in grade 11, plans to study Finance and envisions a future in investment banking

"What distinguishes Aneesh is his special ability to process information quickly – he has a rare ability to use his heightened awareness and adapt in real time," added Steinbach.  "Aneesh will have an immediate impact on the men's team and we're excited to have him joining us next fall."
 
"SFU is an amazing school that has given me the opportunity to play golf at an NCAA level," said Kaura. "Coach Matt was able to identify my strengths and make an indelible impression on me. I feel that SFU is the perfect fit to help me take my golf game to the next level while pursuing a strong academic degree. I feel very comfortable with a smaller campus and I can't wait to pursue my dream of playing collegiate golf and making the SFU community proud."
