Michael Crisologo –
Richmond, BC / Vancouver College
Height: 5'8"
Steinbach: "Michael is everything we're looking for to represent SFU Golf. Not only is he a phenomenal golfer and an excellent student but he is also actively involved in giving back to the community. On the golf course, Michael has demonstrated exceptional results in competition and with his skillset, he has a very high ceiling."
Michael Crisologo is an accomplished golfer who has represented the province of British Columbia on a number of occasions. He was a part of Team BC at the 2018 Canadian Junior Championship as well as the Junior Americas Cup Championship. Individually, Crisologo has had great results in 2018, as he placed in a tie for fourth at the BC Junior Boys Championship and the Golf Canada Future Links Fall Series. In addition, he earned a share of 13th place at the Eddie Hogan Cup Matches and finished t-22nd in the Canadian Junior Boys tournament.
Brother of SFU golf alum Chris Crisologo, Michael has been selected to the President's Honour Society at Vancouver College since grade 9 for achieving a 90+ percent average each school year. He is also active in the community, including volunteering at The Door is Open - a drop-in ministry that provides food, clothing, counselling, shelter services and referrals, and a warm and safe environment in the heart of Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. Crisologo will be majoring in Kinesiology at SFU.
Why SFU? "I chose SFU because of the many great things I've heard about the University on both its athletic and academic programs. It has always been a goal of mine to compete in the NCAA for golf and I'm grateful SFU has given me this opportunity. I'm stoked to see what next year has in store!"
