Alison Andrews-Paul – Ohope Beach, New Zealand / Wairarapa College

A dual citizen of both Canada and New Zealand, Andrews-Paul is a high profile transfer from Div. I Baylor University of the Big 12 conference. In three seasons with the program, she was All-Conference in the distance medley relay three times, and All-Conference in the 800-metre in 2017, and in the 1000-metre in 2018.
Andrews-Paul represented New Zealand internationally at the World U-20 Championships in 2016, where she was a semi-finalist in the 800-metre. A three-time All-Academic All Big-12 team member, she intends to study social policy issues and pursue a career in health administration.
Why SFU? “I chose SFU because I was looking for an environment in which the athlete's well-being is at the forefront of the team's focus. Coach Townsend and I connected right from the beginning, and I think that SFU is going to provide the care factor so necessary in the pursuit of excellence that I have been searching for.”
