Biography

Minhas has the most international competition experience of all incoming golfers and is well-positioned to make the transition to college golf. Minhas' distance is a huge asset and will allow her to be an immediate threat at the college level. Over the past three years, Minhas has a scoring average of 77, won numerous tournaments and participated in provincials and nationals. Minhas won once and registered several top 5s in IMG Golf Tour and Hurricane Golf Tour events. Minhas has a personal best of 72 (1-under) and low tournament total of 2-under at HJGT Orlando Fall Junior Open. She plans to study business and law.
 
"Meera is an important person to join our program for not only her excellence on the golf course and in the classroom, but also for her connection to our home golf course, The Vancouver Golf Club," said SFU head coach Matthew Steinbach. "She has a calm and easy-going demeanor that will make her a great teammate."
 
"I chose SFU because of the exceptional Beedie School of Business and the opportunity to compete against schools in the United States," said Minhas. "SFU will improve my golf game and help me flourish as a person."
