Hamel: "Doreen is extremely athletic. She comes to us from a competitive league in Ontario and will no doubt have an impact on our back line. She has the potential to be a dominant force in the GNAC."

Doreen Anane-Bediakoh will be travelling out west to SFU from Brampton, ON. The 5-8 defender has been on the varsity girls soccer team at St. Thomas Aquinas Secondary since grade 9 and is a two-time MVP in 2016 and 2018. She plays club soccer with the Toronto Blizzard Soccer Club. Anane-Bediakoh intends to major in Criminology in the Fall with a minor in French.

Why SFU? "I chose SFU because I feel like it's a good place for me to develop on and off the field. There is that feeling of unity amongst my future teammates that makes me want to be part of it come 2019. In addition, it satisfies all my educational needs while living in such a beautiful city."
