Moving across the border from Marysville, WA to attend Simon Fraser is Hayli Huhta. As a student, Huhta has maintained an impressive GPA throughout high school. Athletically, the five-foot-five midfielder was a member of the All-State and All-Area teams in 2017 and was twice selected to the All-Wesco First Team. Huhta tallied six goals and seven assists in her senior season and she was a big part of the soccer team at Marysville Getchell High School that made the school's first-ever appearance at a state tournament in any sport. Huhta recounts fond memories of her first campus visit, "I chose SFU because I had a blast on the first day I spent at this school. This left a really good first impression on me and from that day on I knew I would be happy there. SFU is also close to home so I can still see my family and friends." Huhta will be studying Kinesiology with the goal of becoming a physical therapist or a nurse.
