Amanda Silveri – Burnaby, BC / St. Thomas More Collegiate

Club Team: Pacific Rim Wrestling Club
Abdou: “Silveri is an excellent student-athlete and comes to us from St. Thomas More. We have had a lot of success with the STM wrestlers and are looking forward to working with Amanda.”
A five-time finalist at the BC High School Wrestling Provincial Championships, Silveri won a third straight gold medal in February, competing in the 110-kilogram category. She won a gold medal at Nationals in 2017 and was a member of Team BC at the 2017 Canada Summer Games that same year.
An honour roll student with distinction from 2015 to 2019, Silveri is also an accomplished musician and received gold at festivals in both Senior Concert Band and Jazz Band.
Why SFU? “I knew I wanted to continue wrestling in post secondary while still having the opportunity to stay close to home. The SFU Women's Wrestling Team is composed of high performance athletes who strive for excellence. Being part of the team has been a goal of mine, as I know I will be able to further develop my character, as well as my abilities as an athlete.”
