Both teams started strong, trading points throughout the first set, before the Clan would take a late lead.

With the game tied at 24, an Amanda Renkema (Delta, BC) ace serve gave the Clan the lead and momentum before Devon May (Robert's Creek, BC) would notch the final point with a kill from the right side.

The Clan would take the first set 28-26.

The Wolfpack bounced back in the second set however, using a quick start to their advantage, winning 25-19.

SFU regained composure during the break and game back to win the third and fourth sets with scores of 25-13 and 25-15.

Kelsey Robinson (Surrey, BC) lead the Clan with 13 kills on the night while Renkema added 12 kills and three blocks and May added 10 kills.

May and Alison McKay (Port Moody, BC) led the team in digs with 17 a piece, while Brooklyn Gould-Bradbury (Lake Tapps, WA) and Danielle Curtis (North Vancouver, BC) had 29 and 15 sets respectively.

The Clan head right back into the action on Saturday, playing a double header to cap off the four-game weekend.

"We will all be getting a good night's sleep tonight," said Renkema, explaining the team's preparation for the final stretch of the weekend.

"We have a lot of talented girls so fatigue shouldn't be too much of an issue, I expect there will be lots of substitutions tomorrow to help keep everyone fresh and energized".

The Clan open Saturday against Vancouver Island University at 12:30pm before finishing the night off by hosting Capilano University at 7:30pm.
