PORTLAND, Ore. – Simon Fraser seniors Devin O'Hea and Niko Papakyriakopoulos led six total Great Northwest Athletic Conference selections to the 2023 Division II Conference Commissioners Association Men's Soccer All West-Region Teams as first-team honorees.

O'Hea, a forward from North Vancouver, B.C., was instrumental in leading the Red Leafs to their first GNAC title since 2018. He recorded at least one point in 10 of 11 matches across the conference slate, including a seven-match goal-scoring streak that lasted from Sept. 29 to Oct. 26. O'Hea finished the season with 27 points on nine goals and nine assists and his relentless effort in leading Simon Fraser to the top of the conference earned him selection as the GNAC Player of the Year.

"It is an honour to be named amongst a group of great players," remarked O'Hea. "However, I couldn't have done it without my teammates and coaching staff. The work everyone put in throughout the season and their dedication is what made everyone on our team so successful this year."

Along with his work protecting the net, Papakyriakopoulos was an integral part of building the team's attack, finishing the season with one goal and eight assists.

"I am very grateful to have been chosen for this recognition, it wouldn't have been possible without the support of my teammates and coaches," said Papkyriakopoulos.
