Megan Duclos of Saint-Eustache, Que., has been recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association for her historic 2023 season with the Simon Fraser softball team. The junior center fielder has been named to the NFCA All-West Region Second Team.
This year, Duclos set the SFU and Great Northwest Athletic Conference single-season record with 43 steals in 47 total attempts, and is currently tied for eighth in NCAA Division II. She also set the school's career record for stolen bases, finishing the 2023 campaign with 58 in three seasons.
Duclos is the GNAC leader with 65 hits and 46 runs scored, and is ranked 33rd in NCAA Div. II in runs scored per game. She was second in the league with a .409 batting average, and fourth with a .453 on-base percentage.

At the end of the regular season, Duclos was a unanimous selection to the 2023 All-GNAC First Team. She began 2023 with a 13-game hitting streak and was chosen as the GNAC Softball Player of the Week for the period between Jan. 30 and Feb. 5.
In April, Duclos made the GNAC All-Academic Team with a 3.54 cumulative grade point average on a 4.33 scale. It was the third consecutive time the Engineering Science student merited a place on the All-Academic Team.
