The SFU Men's Soccer team capped off their regular season with a strong win against Saint Martin's in Lacey Washington this past weekend.
Michael Hennessy opened the scoring in the 70th minute to give SFU the 1-0 lead.
Koji Poon would then score two goals over a five minute span to make the final score 3-0.
With this win, the Red Leafs wrapped up their season at 6-9-3. The year marked a period of transition, with 13 new players joining the roster and quickly making their presence felt. The team delivered multiple statement victories, increased their overall goals scored, and saw standout performances from juniors
Koji Poon and Michael Hennesy, who ranked 2nd (9 goals) and T-4th (7 goals) in GNAC goal-scoring, respectively, with sophmore Kundalini Bien-Aimé Dominique (5 goals) close behind. It's a promising sign of what's ahead for the SFU Men's Soccer program.
