Following a pre-game ceremony to celebrate SFU's graduating seniors, SFU Women's Soccer secured a 3-0 win against Northwest Nazarene Saturday at Terry Fox Field. WIth the win, SFU Women's Soccer finishes the season with a 9-2-3 GNAC record, their best record in the SFU's NCAA era, and good enough for 2nd place and a spot in the GNAC Women's Soccer Championships.
A beautiful cross by
Sarah Caravatta to
Kaiden Sherwood would lead to a
Kiera Scott goal to open the scoring. This marked the 10th assist of the season for Sherwood, which was the most in the GNAC for 2025. Four minutes later,
Sofia Faremo turned a NNU turnover into a left footed goal to the top left corner to make it 2-0.
Midway through the second half, Senior Sherwood would force a turnover and put it past the keeper, to score her 5th goal of the season. Fellow senior
Sarah Loewen preserved the Red Leaf's clean sheet with 3 strong saves.
Congratulations to the following graduating seniors who played in their final GNAC regular season game as a Red Leaf:
