SFU and Seattle Pacific played to a 2-2 draw this weekend at SFU Stadium.
SFU struck first in the 20th minute, when Kiera Scott found the back of the net off a well-placed assist from Alyssa Clark, giving the home side an early lead. Seattle Pacific responded after halftime,, leveling the score. SFU regained the lead through Kaiden Sherwood, who converted a set up by Chelsea Crocq, making it 2-1. Seattle Pacific then netted the equalizer in the 88th minute.
The match was physical and fast-paced, with 18 total shots from Seattle Pacific and 7 from SFU.
With the result, SFU moves to 11-2-3 overall and 8-2-2 in GNAC play. Next up, the team takes on Western Washington on November 6 at 7:00 pm.
