Game Recap: Women's Soccer Draws 1-1 in Washington

In a tightly contested showdown on Thursday night, Simon Fraser University (SFU) and Western Washington University (WWU) battled to a 1-1 draw at Harrington Field in Bellingham, WA.

SFU responded to the first goal from WWU in the 57th minute when Alyssa Clark unleashed an impressive strike from over 30 yards out that ricocheted off the crossbar and into the net—her first goal of the season. SFU goalkeeper Sarah Loewen made two key saves to preserve the draw.

Next up, the team takes on Northwest Nazarene at SFU's Terry Fox Field on Saturday, November 8 at 1:00 pm. Find tickets, live stats and live video here.

SFU Women's Soccer is headed to the 2025 GNAC Women's Soccer Championships next week at SFU's Burnaby campus. Don't miss out on your chance to cheer on the Red Leafs live in person. GNAC Championship details and tickets can be found here.
