Simon Fraser University (SFU) is proud to announce that four of its wrestlers have earned spots on the 2024-25 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Men's Wrestling Academic Honor Roll. The honor recognizes student-athletes who maintain a minimum 3.30 cumulative GPA, have completed two consecutive semesters at their current institution, and participated in a season of competition.
This year, SFU has four student-athletes – Owen Gudmundson, Elijah Lazar, Patrik Leder, and Magnus McCrackin – represent the university on the list. These wrestlers have exemplified remarkable academic and athletic achievements, demonstrating their ability to balance the rigorous demands of collegiate wrestling with their commitment to academic success.
In addition, those who maintain a GPA of 3.50 or higher, along with meeting the other criteria, earn recognition on the First Team Academic All-RMAC. We are especially proud to highlight that SFU's Owen Gudmundson, a Molecular Biology & Biochemistry major, has earned a spot on the 2024-25 First Team Academic All-RMAC. With a GPA of 3.94 (converted from SFU's 4.30 scale to a 4.00 scale), Gudmundson's achievement stands as a testament to his hard work and dedication both on the mat and in the classroom.
