SFU Women's Soccer picked up a 1-0 win over Chico State on Thursday in California, continuing their strong start to the season. The lone goal was scored by Kiera Scott.

"I'm proud of the group for continuing to push and find a winning goal. We need to be more clinical in our final actions, but it is never easy getting a result on the road," shared Coach Basso. "I'm happy to see impact from some of our new additions as well, they came into the game at a critical moment and were able to positively influence it".

The Red Leafs will wrap up their California trip with a match against San Francisco State on Sunday, before turning their focus to regular conference play beginning September 25 in Washington.
