SFU Women's Soccer continued their strong start to the season with a decisive 5–0 victory over San Francisco State on Sunday, building on momentum from their Thursday win.
The scoring opened with
Kiera Scott finding the back of the net off an assist from
Kaiden Sherwood.
Dariella Lopez followed up with a goal also set up by Sherwood. In the second half, Lopez added her second of the match, assisted by Scott. Scott then netted her second goal, and
Katelyn Magdalinski capped off the scoring, with Sherwood collecting her third assist of the game.
Senior goalkeeper
Sarah Loewen anchored the defense with seven saves, earning a clean sheet and helping secure the team's victory.
SFU now turns its focus to conference play, which begins Thursday, September 25, with a road match against Central Washington in Ellensburg, Washington.
